Unfortunately the weather derailed our teaser shoot this past weekend. We are going to reschedule after the holidays. I was very disappointed to say the least. I couldn't wait to get on set and work with everyone but we all agreed that safety comes first so we postponed the shoot.
With the screenplay being complete aside from tweaking, there is always going to be tweaking, we are moving on to the next step which is casting. Right now we are coordinating with casting agents in NYC and Philadelphia to set up auditions. We are going to also hold an open casting call for all those aspiring actors/actresses who are not yet represented. We want the broadest pool possible to choose from when it comes to casting our film. This step will either make or break our film. That is why we are going to be as thorough as possible. We will be posting character descriptions/breakdowns on our website later this week. We will do a social media blast once they are posted so those interested in auditioning can begin to prepare.
Carver and Little Red Wagon Films would also like to welcome John Delaroderie to our production team. John will serve as Executive Producer and will be handling our weapon casting. John is very enthusiastic about Carver and will add a great deal to our production.
We are working hard in preparation for our target start date in May. There is still a lot to accomplish but so far I fee like we are on schedule.
Looks like the number 5 was lucky for CARVER. We finished draft #5 of CARVER a little over a week ago and we are excited that everyone who has read the draft has had nothing but praise for this version. My dad and I have worked extremely hard to get the script where it needed to be in order for us to be able to afford the production. During the re-writing process we were able to identify some weaknesses thanks to the input we received and the script is tighter than ever. I can't wait until we start filming in May, however we have a lot to accomplish between now and then.
We are going to be filming a test scene December 14th. We are going to use the footage as part of a teaser trailer. We are going to be filming on our newly acquired Black Magic and Rokinon Cinema Lenses. I am excited to be working with the crew we have put together so far. This is going to be a valuable test run for our equipment and crew. We have hired two talented actresses to film the scene, Elizabeth Saint and Hilary Greer. We are looking forward to working with these two wonderful talents.
We are going to begin the audition process in January. I can not wait for the casting process to begin. As soon as we know the dates for auditions I will post them. In the meantime feel free to send us your information. You can send your headshot and resume to firstname.lastname@example.org
